Telling Untold Histories

From 2015-2019, Telling Untold Histories Unconference brought public historians, educators, students, archivists and librarians, artists and activists to make public history more inclusive. Through a radically democratic format, skill-based workshops, and pop-up activities, we empowered communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to tell their own stories. We strengthened cultural and historical institutions to reflect the diversity of our communities in the past and present in the narratives they tell.
